Our Team
Mike Clifford has done hundreds of projects over the years locally. He has done everything from small
courtyards to large ranches. He has created five NW Flower and Garden show exhibits, traveled to China as
an ambassador for the US green industry, and created gardens in Arizona, California and Los Cabos,
Mexico. He also grows unusual trees in his 20 acre nursery in Redmond, Washington.
Anitra Simmons grew up in the local Burien area. After attending Highline High
chool she graduated from Peachtree High school in Atlanta, GA. She has been in
the Real Estate business for 9 years and was recently the VP of Finance for a
local builder closing all transactions for land development and spec home building.
She also handled all bank loan packages for site development, rental properties
and home loans. Her earlier background focused on small business accounting
and management.
Patricia Moreno has been in the field of horticulture for 20 years and a lifelong gardener since childhood.
Her formal education began as a career change when she attended the WSU Cooperative Extension Master
Gardener Program. Upon completion of the program and volunteer hours, she enrolled at Edmonds
Community College in the Ornamental Horticulture/Landscape Design Program. During her time in the
program she interned at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and Woodland Park Zoo. After graduation she
started her own design/consult business which she ran for 10 years, designing gardens in the Northwest
and California. She is a member of the Northwest Horticulture Society, NW Perennial Alliance and is
involved in school garden programs in Seattle. Patricia especially enjoys designing and creating container
gardens, sustainable landscapes and incorporating edibles in the landscape.
Joe Givler offers his clients a highly developed design aesthetic coupled with extensive plant
knowledge, outstanding composition skills and a strong commitment to developing programs and budgets that
best meet the needs of his clients. Joe also creates hardscape solutions, from patios to pergolas, that
fit in seamlessly with the home and surrounding landscape. He is well known for his urban landscapes
and for his dramatic use of texture, form and color. Passionate about his profession and committed to
providing exceptional customer service, Joe is a graduate of Cornell University and has over 16 years
of residential landscape design experience.
Rob McJunkin was born and raised in Kirkland, Washington on a plant nursery, so the industry is
naturally in his DNA. He has been self-employed and a landscape designer for over 35 years in the greater
Puget Sound area. Rob enjoy working on projects from a variety of challenges: from small gardens to
multi-million dollar estates. He has had the privilege of working with Mike Clifford for 8 years, helping to
provide landscape solutions that bring beauty and client satisfaction.
